Westbound traffic on I-285 near Sandy Springs shut down for nearly three hours yesterday after a 53-year-old woman walked into traffic and was struck by several cars. Authorities do not know why she took to the highway or who initially hit her.

The mysterious “economic development mission” that took Gov. Nathan Deal to London was a visit to Pinewood Studios’ U.K. headquarters. Deal proposed launching a film academy adjacent to the studio’s facilities south of Atlanta.

As expected, former Atlanta Fire and Rescue chief Kelvin Cochran is taking legal action against the city over his termination. He has filed a formal complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Mayor Kasim Reed’s response? Bring it on.
