Because the Austell Falcons has such a lovely ring to it: a Democratic state lawmaker who represents Cobb County told a town hall that she’d love to see a new football stadium built around Six Flags Over Georgia if the state and Arthur Blank can’t cut a deal. When later pressed by the Marietta Daily Journal, state Rep. Alisha Thomas Morgan, D-Austell, said she was half joking but could imagine the stadium boosting nearby development.

An education policy group plans to file a complaint today against Georgia’s shady four-year-old tax credit program that critics say finances private-school students’ tuition.
