Tweeting police, sledgehammer-wielding copper thieves, and so much more

1. Atlanta may soon be at the forefront of a national housing market recovery. According to The Washington Post, the metro area is “a market that would seem primed for improvement.”

2. The Public Service Commission unanimously OK’d a plan that will increase the amount of solar power that Georgia Power offers to its customers.

3. Dunwoody’s police department will tweet every emergency call it gets this Friday. One officer estimates that they’ll receive up to 150 calls, but didn’t comment on how many of those would be related to Black Friday.

4. Traffic deaths in Georgia may rise for the first time since 2005.

5. Watch out for sledgehammer-wielding thieves, who allegedly broke a large hole through a double brick wall and stole $80,000 worth of copper. (No, not that kind of Sledgehammer)
