Despite John Oliver’s best efforts, Donald Trump had a stunningly successful Super Tuesday, winning seven states, including Georgia. Clinton also won seven states including this one here. Here’s a breakdown of votes by county.
Speaking of Trump, people want to know why two dozen black Valdosta State students were booted from the crowd prior to an appearance at the Georgia university by the candidate. His Secret Service protection may be the answer.
APS wants to replace APD security with its own police force. The independent security team would answer directly to APS. Mayor Kasim Reed thinks ending the contract is a bad idea. Cost estimates for the swap have fluctuated, but officials say the latest projections don’t exceed the current contract’s $5.6 million price tag.
