Atlanta city councilwomen Mary Norwood and Felicia Moore want to know why Mayor Kasim Reed vetoed an airport contract that was approved by the council. The deal was for healthcare services from Caduceus Occupational Medicine, the sole bidder to be a clinic operator at Hartsfield-Jackson. Though Reed has previously given the green light to contracts with only one applicant, this time he says there needs to be more competition.
?The list of cityhood proposals in DeKalb County keeps growing. The latest addition is for Winship. The area has not been officially mapped, but the proposed city would encompass parts of Druid Hills.
