First Slice 3-24-16: Sine Die, day 40, the 2016 Georgia Legislative session is ending

Today is Sine Die, aka day 40, aka end times, aka the last day of the state legislative session. A $23.7 billion state budget was passed, a controversial law allowing guns on college campuses is still on the table, as is a "religious freedom" bill with the potential for widespread discrimination against the LGBT community despite threats from major companies such as Marvel and Disney to pull loads of business from the state if Gov. Deal signs it into law. 

We are in full blown pollen season. 

It's not as easy to be Ferris Bueller as it used to. 

In the war between Segways and hoverboards, Segways are winning.
