1. Mayor Kasim Reed, Invest Atlanta officials, and several Atlanta business leaders are visiting China on an economic development mission. And Hizzoner, pictured above with Invest Atlanta CEO Brian McGowan boarding a high-speed train, is actually using his Twitter account while overseas. And apparently carrying his own bags. Here’s a look at the group’s itinerary.

2. The AJC goes nationwide in its quest to win a Pulitzer Prize expose teachers who change students’ test answers.

3. Atlanta Police have made an arrest in the Thursday night shooting of a fellow cop outside Zesto’s in Little Five Points. Police tell WAGA that 19-year-old Cameron Maddox fired several shots at APD Officer Dexter Toomer, who was picking up a drink from the fast-food eatery, from the roof of the Brewhouse Cafe across the street. Toomer was released from Grady Memorial Hospital on Friday.

4. Former Vice President Dick Cheney is recovering at a Virginia hospital after receiving a heart transplant.
