Crews have started blasting to create tunnels that will be used to fill up — and eventually store water in — northwest Atlanta’s massive Bellwood Quarry.

Some Atlanta City Councilmembers are trying to convince the NBA to relocate the All-Star Game from North Carolina, which recently passed a controversial anti-LGBT bill, to the city. 

Duriya Farooqui, City Hall’s former chief operating officer, has been named the new executive director of Atlanta Committee for Progress, the behind-the-scenes, business-only civic group.
