Ed Loves Bacon - Susan Boyle may sing the next James Bond theme song

Bang Media International reports that Susan Boyle the Britain’s Got Talent phenom who stunned the world with her voice (not her looks) is being tapped to sing the theme song for the next James Bond film. Most remember Boyle’s show stopping rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream” from YouTube that has amassed 81,404,945 views to date.

Its reported that Boyle is thrilled to be considered a prospect to perform the Bond theme. If chosen she will join the ranks of other chart-topping performers including Madonna, Alicia Keys, Duran Duran, U2, Sir Paul McCartney and Carly Simon. This will be the 23rd Bond film produced and Monty Norman, composer of the classic 007 theme music thinks Susan would be a “great” choice. Norman states, “They’ll think seriously because she’s got the right kind of sweeping voice”.

Boyle is currently enjoying the success of her debut album aptly titled I Dreamed A Dream which has sold over 2 million copies worldwide in its first weeks of its release.

The Bond project (currently unnamed) will begin production sometime late next year and is expected in theaters in 2011.
