Atlanta food events for the weekend, April 16-18

Things do and eat around Atlanta this weekend.

The Dogwood Festival, April 16-18. This festival has been in existence for over 70 years. There are food venders of all sorts and at the “Friends of Dogwood Pavilion” visitors can sample foods from many of Atlanta’s restaurants. The National Food Blogger’s Great American Bake Sale is happening on Saturday - in Atlanta the sale is taking place at Cabbagetown Market from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The event benefits Share Our Strength. Free parking at Agave.


The Art Institute of Atlanta’s “Chicago Steakhouse Restaurant” Cooking class, April 17. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., chef Scott Millspaugh will be teaching how to cook some of  Morton’s the Steakhouse’s recipes. The cost is $99 a person.
