Times are a-changin’ at Ray’s locations around town. Tracey Bloom, of Table 1280 and perhaps more notably, this season’s “Top Chef,” takes the helm at the Ray’s Killer Creek location. Rays in the City has also a new Executive Chef. Ugo Okpareke makes the jump from his role as sous chef at Ray’s on the River to leading the kitchen at the Downtown location.

Perrine’s Wine Shop opened in West Midtown. Run by former Joel sommelier Perrine Prieur, Perrine’s features over 350 wines. While you’re there, pick up some artisan cheese or gourmet chocolates to accompany your selection.

Also in Decatur, The Square Pub announced via their Facebook page that building plans have been approved and they are moving forward. The pub will be located next to Mac McGee’s, helping to make Decatur Square ever more boozy.

The Mercantile in Candler Park is offering a V.I.B (that’s Very Important Bacon) club for fans of their addictive bacon.
