Restaurateurs, I’m begging you. Make your menus readable.
I keep encountering menus that are difficult to read and I constantly hear the same complaint from readers and friends. The menus typically are printed in small type that is impossible to read in low-lit dining rooms. Frequently, too, they are printed in brown ink on a lighter brown background.
At Sufi’s last week, the server literally provided flashlights for our party of six. I routinely use the flashlight app on my iPod Touch.
Why do restaurant owners keep doing this? And, no, it has nothing to do with my eyesight.
