Omnivore - Taking a peek at the upcoming Georgia Organics Conference
The Georgia Organics conference will be held in Savannah on Mar. 11-12.
During the weekend of March 11, Savannah’s International Trade & Convention Center will play host to the Georgia Organics 14th Annual Conference & Expo “GO GROW!” Food scientist and avtivist Dr. Vandana Shiva will be the keynote speaker of the two-day event, which is the largest sustainable agriculture event in the southeast.
Shiva, who has published 20 books and numerous scientific papers and was named an environmental hero by Time magazine in 2003, will kick off a weekend that is dedicated to supporting the health and growth of Georgia’s sustainable local food systems.
