Chris Clinton and Isia Cooper, founders of Crack in the Sidewalk Farmlet, will be hosting a benefit mixer this Sunday, August 12, starting at 6 p.m. The mixer will feature this summer's peak produce, the tomato. The tranquil farm just south of East Atlanta Village will host a cocktail hour with creative tomato spirits starting at 6 p.m. During the cocktail hour, guests will tour the urban farm. Following the cocktail hour and tour, a family-style dinner will be prepared by chef Angus Brown of East Atlanta's Octopus Bar. Dinner highlights include a peach wood smoked goat.
Proceeds will help renovate the farm's newly acquired intern/farmhand housing which will help to take Crack in the Sidewalk to the next level in producing local foods. Get your tickets to the 'Mater Mixer Dinner here.
