Julia Child (1912-2004) would have been 100 years old today, but her legacy lives on as the nation celebrates the life of the beloved chef in a big way:

-The Smithsonian has placed Child’s Cambridge, Mass. kitchen back on display for a limited time. The kitchen, which she and husband Paul donated to the museum in 2001, served as the set for three of Child’s television shows and was the testing ground for many recipes featured in her cookbooks.
