Omnivore - Celebrating Julia Child's 100th birthday

Our hats off to you, Julia

Julia Child (1912-2004) would have been 100 years old today, but her legacy lives on as the nation celebrates the life of the beloved chef in a big way:

-Jaques Pepin reflects on his friendship with Julia Child in his New York Times piece, "Memories of a Friend, Sidekick and Foil".

-"Keep On Cooking", PBS' Auto-Tune remix.

-The Smithsonian has placed Child's Cambridge, Mass. kitchen back on display for a limited time. The kitchen, which she and husband Paul donated to the museum in 2001, served as the set for three of Child's television shows and was the testing ground for many recipes featured in her cookbooks.

-A PBS tribute, "Sweet Child Of Mine".

-Julia Child is trending on Twitter. (Go ahead, check.)

-Child's famous beef bourguignon recipe.
