Woodfire Grill Fri., Jan 24, 6 p.m. Ode to Local Beer To continue celebrating local beer, Woodfire Grill will host a prix-fixe dinner, created by chef Tyler Williams, focused around Monday Night Brewing’s beer selection. This event was originally sold out, but due to popular demand, the restaurant added another 12 seats, priced at $85 per person. Details

St. Regis Atlanta Fri., Jan. 24, 2:30 p.m. “Downton Abbey” Afternoon Tea St. Regis Atlanta celebrates the return of the PBS hit “Downton Abbey” with traditional English tea service. The Cook’s Warehouse Fri., Jan. 24, 7-9 p.m. Exploring the World of Wine Wine expert, Jennifer Pounds, will provide a brief overview of winemaking basics and the major wine growing regions in the world. Pounds will also cover the fundamentals of tasting and evaluating wines. Details

Masquerade Sat., Jan. 25-Sun., Jan. 26, 1-6 p.m. Atlanta Winter Beer Festival Featuring more than 300 beers, the Atlanta Winter Beer Fest sets up shop at the Masquerade Music Park for a two-day event this Sat.-Sun., Jan. 25-26. Enjoy samples from breweries east of the Mississippi River on Saturday, while Sunday features brews from the West. Also on deck: live music, a DJ, eats, and more. Details

The Shed at Glenwood Sat., Jan. 25, 3 p.m. Thunder From Down Under Wine Class This weekend, the Shed at Glenwood’s bi-monthly wine class will cover eight red wines from Australia and New Zealand, paired with bites from chef Todd Richards. Details

5 Seasons Brewing Company, Sandy Springs Sat., Jan 25, 3-6 p.m. Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting 2014 Now in its tenth year, this veteran beer event promises 40 rare cask ales from the U.S. and the U.K. Details

King Plow Sun., Jan. 26, 4-8 p.m. Team Hidi 2.0 King Plow will host more than 30 restaurants from the Atlanta area providing food, drinks, a live auction, and live music from Yacht Rock Revue for Team Hidi 2.0 and the celebration of Chef Ryan Hidinger’s life, which included his influence at Bacchanalia, the Staplehouse supper club, and other Atlanta restaurants. The event is sold out, but a waiting list is available and donations can still be received. Ticket price is $150 with all proceeds going towards the Giving Kitchen, an organization that supports people in the restaurant community affected by emergencies or other hardships. Details
