Omnivore - Woodfire Grill names new executive chef

Matthew Weinstein takes the helm

Matthew Weinstein has been named executive chef at Woodfire Grill. Weinstein, who's been helming the kitchen since chef Tyler Williams split six weeks ago, has been Woodfire's sous chef since early 2013. The Virigina-born cook graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 2009 and has done stints at Washington D.C.'s acclaimed 701 Restaurant under chef Adam Longworth and Volt Restaurant in Frederick, Maryland under "Top Chef" runner-up Bryan Voltaggio. In related news, Conor O'Reilly has been promoted from line cook to sous chef at Woodfire Grill.
