Murphy’s Tue., May 24, 6:30-8:30 Obrigado Vinho’s Wine Tasting Join us as we welcome Rui Abecassis, owner of Obrigado Vinhos to Murphy’s wine shop for a tasting and discussion over some of his favorite wines in his portfolio. This event is a part of one of Murphy’s weekly, Tuesday evening wine tastings. The selections will include: 2012 Agricultura Tinto, 2013 Casal Figueira Antonio, 2014 Asnella Single Vineyard Vinho Verde, 2013 Ataide Semedo Tinto, and 1980 Caves san Joao Porta dos. Details

Monday Night Brewing Wed., May, 25 6-9 p.m. SouthEATS2016 We Love Buhi has gathered some of the city’s most notable chefs and restaurateurs of Asian heritage to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month while raising money for Asian Americans Advancing Justice. AAJ-Atlanta is a nonprofit that works to protect and promote the civil, social, and economic well-being of Asian-Americans. Participating restaurants include Ah-Ma’s Taiwanese Kitchen, Mamak, Sweet Hut, Gaja, and Sweet Auburn BBQ, among others. Ama’s Nhan Le and Nexto’s Mihoko Obunai will also be on site dishing out their coveted cuisine. Tickets include eight tasting tickets, six drink tickets, and a souvenir Monday Night Brewing glass. Sales end at midnight on May 23, and none will be sold at the door. Details

Ray’s at Killer Creek Wed. May 25, 6:30 p.m. Family Wine Dinner Join Ray’s restaurant on Wednesday for the Frank Family Wine Dinner. Delicious dishes will be prepared by executive chef Mike Fuller. The featured guest speaker is Michael Sterling, Southern Territory Sales Manager at Frank Family Vineyards. Details 

1KEPT Wed., 25, 5:30-10 p.m. Charity Counter Chef’s Table  The Charity Counter is a seasonal five-course chef’s table dinner for two to six guests. Seventy-five percent of your final bill is donated to a local non-profit serving the Atlanta community. Featured charities rotate on a monthly basis. Details

Park Tavern Thurs., May 26 7:30 p.m. Creative Loafing’s Margarita Wars Cinco de Mayo and National Margarita Day pale in comparison to the grunge match that is CL’s annual tequila cocktail throwdown. More than 10 mixologists will present their Lunazul Tequila for your judgement, and there can only be one winner. While waiting for the grand decision, soak up all those margaritas with eats from Park Tavern, and enjoy live music throughout the evening. VIP ticketholders can take advantage of early entry, free food, and a private tasting space. It won’t hurt to start the three-day weekend just a touch early. Details

Zoo Atlanta Sat., May 28, 5:30 p.m. Brew at Zoo Head over to Zoo Atlanta for an evening of beer and wine tastings set against the backdrop of exotic plants and animals. In addition to the booze, there will be live music courtesy of the Regulars, DJ Deliver, R.T.W., and more. A ticket gets you unlimited samplings of a variety of beers and wines, personal encounters with the animals, and free train and carousel rides through the zoo. Details
