Some of my friends tell me I dress like their dad. Not sure if that’s a good thing.

Tips

What are your thrifting/bargain hunting tips?

The only thing I would say is try to be constant. Sometimes I will go to they same thrift stores twice in one week.

What’s your favorite vintage purchase?

Other than my ‘74 Farfisa synth, Wrangler western shirts are usually a good find. I have a few with plaid pastel patterns. This past summer I wore them all the time.

Best place to score vintage in Atlanta?

This is a hard question to answer because I can’t really reveal the locations of my secret spots. But The Lucky Exchange is a not so secret spot that a lot of people don’t know about. Stefan’s also is great and not as pricey as you might think. You just have to dig some.

What is your style philosophy?

I would say it’s similar to how I approach making music. I try to mix aesthetics from the past and present. Some of my friends tell me I dress like their dad. Not sure if that’s a good thing.

What do you regret buying? Not buying?

I regret buying clothes that are too small for me. I feel like all the best finds are for little guys.

How has Atlanta influenced your personal style?

Mainly through the people who live here. My friends influence and inspire me more then anything.

What do you like about wearing vintage clothes?

I’m obsessed with specific aspects of the past; music, history, art, film, etc. So it makes sense for me to love vintage clothing as well. Also it’s a good way to have individual style. I rarely see the same vintage shirt twice.

What single article of clothing could you not live without?

“Live without” can’t say, but I really dig my 80s (original) Members Only leather jacket. It’s burgundy. Found it about three years ago at Stefan’s.
