Andrew M Muñoz is an Atlanta-based painter working in multiple mediums, often finding humor and poignancy in everyday life. Born in 1989, Andrew was raised in Marietta, Georgia. He received his B.A. in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2012, and was awarded the Glenda Knight Keyes Award for Outstanding Talent for the 2011-12 school year. While attending SCAD-Atlanta, Andrew gained an interest in modern art history and criticism that informs his work's dialogue with formal concerns and cultural iconography. Andrew currently lives in east Atlanta where he maintains a rigorous studio practice.
