That not all social media is totally narcissistic

It started with a simple concept: Connect those in need with the people in their community willing to help. But how do you do that, exactly? The answer is as simple as the question. How do people connect today? The Internet. How can you, I, or anyone else put information in front of people with the click of a button? The Internet. What’s the easiest and fastest way to spread a message? OK, you get the idea. In 2009, that simple yet profound realization led to the birth of BeRemedy, a local nonprofit that highlights specific needs of people in and around Atlanta, shares them on social media, and connects them to those with the means to help, from supporting a nonprofit’s programs to delivering shoes to families in need.
