2017 Mayoral Forum On the Arts

Community Foundation For Greater Atlanta and ChooseATL are giving citizens and artists a chance to ask the seven current mayoral candidates what their plans are for the arts in Atlanta. Penny McPhee from the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and Doug Hooker from Atlanta Regional Commission will be moderating.

 

Taste of Atlanta Best Sommelier Competition

City Winery - Ponce City Market, Suite 201 Atlanta, GA 30308 $35-$50. 6:30 p.m.

Taste of Atlanta and City Winery invite sommeliers to go head to head, or taste bud to taste bud, in service, theory, and blind tasting competitions. Guests will get to taste wines alongside the contestants and will also have bites prepared by executive chef Nick Anderson.

 

Making Things Out of Stuff w/ Bean and Bear

Center For Puppetry Arts - 1404 Spring St. N.W. Atlanta, GA 30309 $20-$30. 7 p.m.

Bean and Bear will be making craft projects out of things they find in the recycling bin, and they want crafters of all experience levels age 18 and up to join them.
