Atlanta Cosplay Yard Sale

In preparation for Dragon Con, fans across the state have organized the very first Atlanta Cosplay Yard Sale. Unlike like the random garage sale at the end of the street, the Atlanta Cosplay Yard Sale is sure to have the gems you’ve always dreamed of finding in the yard sales in your neighborhood. Whether you’re looking for cosplaying treasures or plan on attending Dragon Con and still don’t have a costume, the event will feature dozens of cosplaying pros selling their prized items and costumes.

Dunwoody Nature Center Butterfly Festival

Dunwoody Nature Center - 5343 Roberts Drive Dunwoody, GA $5-$10. 10 a.m.

Founded in 1975 to “inspire love of nature and cultivate environmental understanding,” the Dunwoody Nature Center is committed to bringing Atlanta’s communities a little closer to nature. Its next event is the Butterfly Festival, which will feature three large tents, each filled with hundreds of butterflies. Besides reviving the universal childhood fascination with butterflies, the festival will also include games, live animal encounters, educational booths, music, food and drinks.

Piedmont Park Arts Festival

Piedmont Park - 400 Park Drive Atlanta, GA 30306 Free. 10 a.m.

Presented by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces, the Piedmont Park Arts Festival is an annual two-day event featuring more than 200 artists who will offer works for sale in various mediums, from painting, sculpting and photography to metal work, glass blowers and jewelry makers. There will also be artist demonstrations, live music, food and a children’s play area.

Poncey Highland Art Jam

Sweet Auburn Barbecue - 656 N. Highland Ave. N.E. Atlanta, GA 30306 Free. 6 p.m.

To celebrate our local artists, Sweet Auburn BBQ and J. Sherman Salon have partnered to host Poncey Highland Art Jam. Art Jam will feature a live mural painting by artists sQuishiepuss, Chris Veal and Tanner Wilson, a beer garden and an artist market featuring works by Adelaide Tai, Colin Sims and other Atlanta artists. Live music will be curated by DJ Florista.
