O-Ku opens its patio for a viewing of the first coast-to-coast North American solar eclipse in 99 years. Sip on a “dark moon” LTO Solar fros̩ as the real dark moon travels across the sun.

Who benefits from the ‘sustainability movement’?

Center for Civic Innovation - 115 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive S.W., Third Floor Atlanta, Ga. 30303 Free w/ RSVP. 6 p.m.

Major US cities - and communities around the world - are doubling down on sustainability, pollution control, and climate change policy. As with many things, pollution, poor water quality, and high utility bills are found in high concentrations in our most disinvested communities. Christina Gibson (Trees Atlanta), Na’Taki Osborne Jelks (West Atlanta Watershed Alliance) and Angelou C. Ezeilo (Greening Youth Foundation) discuss ways to make sustainability movements benefit everyone. Ted Terry of Georgia’s Sierra Club chapter moderates.

Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, the Edgar Winter Band
