The next photography exhibit opening at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia has been carefully selected for the past eight years. Fast Forward // Rewind features a selection of 19 photographers who were selected as “ones to watch,” highlighting video, installation and still photography created by those artists from the ’70s to present day. The artists include Holly Andres, Teri Darnell, Martine Gutierrez and Deepanjan Mukhopadhyay.

The first tragedy to be played in the new Globe Theatre, Julius Caesar is set at a crucial turning point in Roman history, as the republican gives way to the imperial. Julius Caesar has returned from the Roman front victorious, but his popularity and military might make him powerful enemies in the Senate. When a group of conspirators plot against the emperor, they recruit Brutus, Caesar’s dear friend. Brutus must weigh the morality of toppling the state to save its citizens. Et tu, Brute? Directed by Matt Lewis. Runs from Aug. 9-20.

Now six years deep, Ricky Raw’s celebration of all things bass music in Atlanta is sporting one of it’s most extensive lineups yet. In addition to headliners such as Conrank, DJ Earl, Mono/Poly and more, Ricky’s own group, hip-hop trio the Mighty High Coup, also performs at the Music Room on Wed., Aug. 9. Venues include Aisle 5, the Music Room, the Basement and Graveyard Tavern.
