Atlanta Mayoral Forum For Historic Westside

The Gathering Spot - 384 Northyards Blvd. N.W., Building 100 Atlanta, GA 30313 Free w/ RSVP. 10 a.m.

Citizens of Historic Westside will be able to discuss mayoral candidates in the upcoming election and how each of them may potentially impact the community in this forum hosted by the Westside Future Fund. WABE-FM’s Rose Scott will be the moderator and seven candidates will be present.

 

Queer Youth Festival 2017

Healium Center - 344 Candler Park Drive Atlanta, GA 30307 Free. 2 p.m.

In partnership with the Helium Arts Center, the Atlanta Coalition for LGBTQ Youth (ACFLY) organizes the Queer Youth Fest to provide a safe and inclusive space for youths of all identities and ages. The event will feature two live music stages, three art galleries, a meditation space, interactive art installations and plenty LGBTQ-focused events and service provider stations.

 

Little Five Points Halloween Festival and Parade

Little Five Points - Little Five Points, Atlanta, GA 30307 Free. Noon.

Goons, ghouls and ghosts will prowl the streets of Little Five Points during the 17th annual Little Five Points Halloween Festival and Parade. Just as captivating as it is twisted, the festival provides fun for all members of the family, with food vendors, two stages of entertainment and an art market. Performers include the Dirty Doors, Black Fox, the Scragglers, Casket Creatures, Baby Baby, and more.

 

King of Crops Fall Festival

King of Crops Farm and Nursery - 6950 Post Road Winston, GA 30187 Free. 4 p.m.

King of Pops invites the public to its latest project, King of Crops Farm, for a family-friendly fall festival. Enjoy live music, hay rides, a pumpkin carving contest, a pumpkin walk, and more. Items from the nursery will also be on sale.

 

The Greatest Show In EAV: Gala To Benefit Neighbor In Need

Historic Flat Shoals Farm - 749 Flat Shoals Ave. Atlanta, GA 30316 $50-$700. 7 p.m.

Neighbor In Need is hosting a vintage circus-themed gala to help local low-income seniors in need. This gala will feature a vintage circus with tarot card readers, jugglers, and more. Palookaville will be catering and several other local restaurants will do V.I.P catering. Tito’s Vodka will have craft cocktails and other local libations. There will be absolutely no clowns.
