A two-performance dance series by the resident artists of the Lucky Penny’s Work Room
<span class=”s1 </p><span class=”s1 The Lucky Penny, an Atlanta-based production outlet for choreographers and dancers, presents Heads Up 2017. This two-performance dance series showcases a year’s worth of work by the resident artists of the Lucky Penny’s Work Room. The space, intended to be accessible to the Atlanta community, provides subsidized weekly training time and cultivates a constant flow of creative activity, divorced from the rushed environment typical to the contemporary dance world. Performers Melissa Word and Blake Beckham explore the body as an expressive tool and site for social action.
