Cherith Fuller hosts Laughs Trump Hate: Charlottesville on Sept. 8.

It’s impossible to be apolitical in today’s world. Many comedians are becoming more political in their act and in much louder actions.

Three of ATL’s finest jokesmiths, Paige Bowman, Cherith Fuller and Jen O’Neill Smith, started their new semi-regular comedy showcase earlier this year with the goal of raising money for various groups affected by the slowly melting burnt sienna crayon in charge.

Laughs Trump Hate returns to the Highland Ballroom with a stellar lineup that includes Yohance’ Collins, Dan Shark-Weeks, Piper Ruhmkorff and more. All proceeds go toward the victims of Charlottesville. $10. 8:30 p.m. Fri., Sept. 8. Highland Ballroom, 644 N Highland Ave. N.E. www.facebook.com/LaughsTrumpHate.
