Federal bribery investigation costing Atlanta taxpayers big bucks
The city’s legal bill is at $1.4 million... and going up

In the past year, Atlanta has spent more than $1.4 million for legal help with cooperating with the federal bribery investigation, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
That, more-or-less, means taxpayers paid about a dollar for every piece of paper Mayor Kasim Reed turned over in the infamous document dump and that doesn’t include printing costs. He called the move some weeks ago “the most transparent production of records in the city’s history,” according to the AJC.
