Gwinnett County is hoping a federal lawsuit alleging it robbed minorities of their voting rights will be tossed out. According to a report from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the county filed a motion at the end of October which seeks dismissal from the case that claims gerrymandering made African-Americans, Latinos, and Asians which make up a larger population than white people in Gwinnett a minority group in the county commission and school board’s voting districts.
