Mayoral race front-runner Keisha Lance Bottoms is under the microscope for logging questionable campaign donations, according to a report by The Intercept.

Bottoms, an Atlanta councilwoman who recently overtook council colleague Mary Norwood in the polls, is no stranger to tallying sketchy donations. She recently returned more than $25,000 in campaign cash given by contractors implicated in the city’s bribery scandal. Now, Bottoms’ campaign is charged with raking in monies from some donors who have found a way to circumvent the $2,600 contribution limit.

“A number of major contractors that do business with Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport the world’s busiest airport and an entity the city oversees used shell companies and other means to boost their donations to Lance-Bottoms into the tens of thousands,” The Intercept reports.
