On songs such as her recent single “Storm,” McClinton builds ornate arrangements around her meditative voice, ranging from strings to earth-shaking percussion. Her airy textures feel mystical and dream-like, evoking the immersive imaginations of Bjork and the Knife. McClinton joins local favorites Man Up, Yancey and Till Someone Loses An Eye to play a benefit concert for Bleux Stockings Society benefit, an Atlanta-based organization bolstering a diverse array of female artists. Ticket sales will be donated to the Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence.
