Michika McClinton, AKA Tantrum, creates misty electronic pop music that’s the sonic equivalent of watching a blanket of fog drift across an empty shore at night. On songs such as her recent single “Storm,” McClinton builds ornate arrangements around her meditative voice, ranging from strings to earth-shaking percussion. Her airy textures feel mystical and dream-like, evoking the immersive imaginations of Bjork and the Knife. McClinton joins local favorites Man Up, Yancey and Till Someone Loses An Eye to play a benefit concert for Bleux Stockings Society benefit, an Atlanta-based organization bolstering a diverse array of female artists. Ticket sales will be donated to the Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence.
