It was only a matter of time before emo picked up steam on the nostalgia train. But here we are. On, Fri., Nov. 18, the Los Angeles-based http://emonightla.com/” rel=”external”>Emo Nite takes over the Masquerade’s Hell room, fittingly enough. Guest DJs join a traveling caravan led by founders Morgan Freed, TJ Petracca, and Babs Szabo to spin emo rock classics, deep cuts, and a few surprises. Past Emo Nite parties have featured guest appearances from the likes of Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus to acoustic performances from Good Charlotte. The idea is to roll out surprises every night. Come out. Get sad AF, only to have those feelings turned around in a night of fiery and emotionally wrought pop punk.
