Most folks know Brittany Bosco as an Atlanta-bred singer who’s been making major noise in the world of music for almost a decade. Case in point: the acclaimed mixtape, Girls in the Yard, she released with fellow Atlantan Speakerfoxxx last year. But beyond the beats, Bosco has also had her hands in a number of multimedia projects over the years. This weekend, in fact, she’s unveiling her latest non-music-related project — her new creative agency, SLUG — in a big way.

The new agency — staffed by its founder Bosco, art director Chibu Okere, lead designer Kylah Benes-Trapp, and Elyn Kazarian, who’s providing creative direction — will offer services such as event planning, branding, photography, video production, set design and more to a gamut of clients. As far as what inspired her to create SLUG, Bosco says: “I started SLUG as a voice for the culture in Atlanta, a place where the creatives and weird kids could go to display their skill sets and like-minded interest through digital communication and print.”

SLUG officially kicks off this Saturday, Jan. 28, at a special launch party going down at Mammal Gallery. Make sure your face is in the place to see what Bosco and the crew have up their sleeves.

Free with RSVP. Jan. 28. 7-10 p.m. Mammal Gallery, 91 Broad St. S.W. sluglaunchparty.splashthat.com.
