The A3C Hip-Hop Festival and Conference is gearing up for some big announcements for its 2017 lineup. Speculation is thick, but the festival founders remain tight-lipped.

In the meantime, they have announced that A3C is taking over the Georgia Railroad Freight Depot on Sat., Oct. 7, and Sun., Oct 8.

The Edgewood Avenue strip, the Loudermilk Center, Auburn Ave. Research Library, and the East Atlanta Village will still be filled out with shows and other events kicking off Wed., Oct. 4.

A3C has also teamed up with Georgia State University’s Creative Media Industries Institute to launch the Creator Complex — a place where artists and producers can collaborate and create a song at A3C. There’s also the Action Summit, which invites artists, activists, academics and more to discuss the state of social justice in 2017, and other issues as they relate to hip-hop in a modern context.

Various panels and workshops are also coming together, including the third annual A3C Action Pitch Competition

Passes go on sale Tues., Feb. 28.

There is no VIP pass this year, per se. There is, however, a VIP upgrade. It won’t get you into the festival, but it grants access to VIP areas including a fenced-off pit in front of the main stage and a lounge/bar next to the stage. There are more perks such as free drinks and a 25 percent discount on A3C merch.

There’s also the Executive Pass for music industry professionals, artists and entrepreneurs. The Executive offers access to private events, mixers and parties with other industry types.

There are Festival, Conference and all-inclusive A3C passes as well. Read more about the different pass options.
