You can get into Masters Tournament action this Sun., April 8 at Westside’s The Optimist at their par-TEE on the Green. The ticketed event ($38) includes a menu of tasty bites (peel and eat shrimp, deviled eggs with crispy oysters), drinks (2 tickets), live music, and the tourney projected on a big screen. There is even a 1-hole putt-putt challenge with some pretty neat prizes.

Jonesin for those Masters Tournament eats? Virginia Highland’s Atkins Park has you covered with a themed food and drink menu this week of egg salad and pimento cheese sandwiches, BBQ, and cocktails like the John Daly, Green Jacket, and Sand Wedge. The tournament will be on TVs throughout the restaurant and bar with the volume on.

Grindhouse Killer Burgers’ 7th location is now open on Memorial Drive with three different patios, ping-pong, and shuffleboard. Patios are dog and family friendly.

Boneheads in Atlantic Station is closing up shop but don’t fret. Pho 24 Vietnamese Noodle House will soon serve steaming bowls of pho and banh mi from the space come this fall.

More pizza options in Duluth. Firenza Pizza (2200 Peachtree Ind. Blvd.) starts a soft opening period on April 11. On Fri., April 13 and Sat., April 14, the first ten people in line will earn free pizza for a year from the join that makes dough in-house daily and hand stretches crusts in front of diners.

Chef Robert Phalen (One Eared Stag, Mary Hoopa’s House of Fried Chicken and Oysters) will open Woodward and Park in the Larkin on Memorial development. The European inspired bistro will be open for lunch and dinner beginning Labor Day.

City Winery (650 North Ave.) is releasing two white wines and one rosè this month, and you have a chance at naming one of them. Sweet and Simple White, Made Your Blush rosè, and a yet to be named dry Georgia blend are all made from crushed Georgia grown grapes. To name the dry Georgia blend, described as “intensely aromatic, medium-bodied with notes of ripe citrus and tropical fruit leap from the glass, leading to a round palate supported by bright acidity,” go here. 4 finalists will be announced April 13 with community voting until 4/20. Winner is announced April 23.

Next Thurs. (April 12) is National Grilled Cheese Day. Are you prepared? Do you know where to celebrate? We have a few faves like Foundation Soucial Eatery’s mushroom and taleggio, and Seven Lamps’ play on an egg in the hole with brioche stuffed with gruyere, jack, and fromage blanc with avocado. Also, Westside’s Cooks & Soldiers’ bikini with white American, Jamon Iberico, and black truffle is a mere $5 from 5-7 pm during pintxo happy hour.
