GIVE UP THE FUNK: The Wrecking Bar showcases sour and wild brews

Prep your gut for some funky fermentation when brewers let nature loose on wild and experimental brews for the Wrecking Bar Brewpub’s fourth sour beer festival. Celebrating the best of yeast and fruit from all over Georgia and beyond, the released local beer list features more than 30 barrel-aged wild ale, sour, saison, Berliner Weisse, and gose style brews, including seasonal and experimental one-off releases from more than a dozen breweries. Of course, The Wrecking Bar’s full tap menu will be available, and the unreleased beer list boasts some surprises from Europe and other American states. This is a relatively small event with only 300 guests, held in the Wrecking Bar’s Marianna event space and porch. Tickets include a commemorative glass and as many tastings as you can safely drink.

$65. Noon-4 p.m. Sat., May 5. Wrecking Bar Brewpub, 292 Moreland Ave. N.E. www.wreckingbarbrewpub.com . 404-221-2600.
