ROLL ON: Atlanta Moon Ride rolls through Midtown on June 8
Whether you’ve got a street bike, mountain bike, wheelchair, or unicycle, get ready to roll into the sixth annual six-mile moonlit ride around Midtown. Participants of all skill levels are encouraged to join the ride (not to be confused with a race). Before beginning the nocturnal excursion, a festival pre-party with live music by Electric Avenue and DJs, outdoor bar areas, food vendors, and costume contest in Piedmont Park will set the mood. Additionally, all proceeds will benefit Bert’s Big Adventure, a nonprofit organization providing magical, all-expenses-paid trips to Walt Disney World for children with chronic and terminal illnesses. $35-$95. 7 p.m. Fri., June 8. Rain or shine. Piedmont Park Meadow, 10th St. and Monroe Drive. www.atlantamoonride.com
