CRAFT CARDIO: Running hurts but beer makes it all better.

There’s no better reward after an intense cardio session than a pint or two of cold beer. Monday Night Garage is hosting a 5K/10K race to increase your heart rate and ABV all in the same night. The run is on the Atlanta Beltline, both kicking off and finishing at Monday Night Garage. Post run activities include a party and awards (overall top three runners, overall top three runners between 40-49 years old, overall top athletes aged 50 or older, and top three in each age group). Registration fees include two free pints of beer at the afterparty, a really dang cool Monday Night-branded race shirt or socks, and a commemorative pint glass with a freaking dinosaur on it. If you like beer and good times but you don’t like running, which is totally understandable, you can register as a volunteer to help out with the race (and you’ll still get a free beer at the after party). Runners should pre register and get there by 5 p.m. to pick up race packet and bib.

$43. 6:15-10 p.m. Mon., June 18. Monday Night Garage, 933 Lee St. S.W. 404-352-7703. https://www.active.com/atlanta-ga/running/distance-running/the-monday-nighter-at-the-garage-2018.
