STONED ENCOUNTERS: Telekinetic Yeti unleashes the beast at Slaughter-Que.

The season of the witch is at hand, which means it’s time once again for Slaughter-Que, the Masquerade’s day party that’s bursting at the seams with fire breathers, sword swallowers, sideshows, games, and barbecue. And of course, metal! Portland, OR, stoner metal giant Red Fang tops a lineup featuring heavy hitters such as Hanover, PA, brutes Sadistic Vision, locals Gunpowder Gray, Casket Creatures, and Order of the Owl, and Dubuque, IA’s almighty Telekinetic Yeti (pictured above). This is the Slaughter-Que’s seventh return to the Masquerade. Once again, it’s turning the Underground Atlanta complex into an inferno with four stages and a carnivalesque freak scene that’s fun for the whole family — if the whole family is into headbanging and whiplash riffs.

$25. 12 p.m. Sat., Oct. 6. Masquerade, 75 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive S.W. 404-577-8178. www.masq.com.
