Food and wine lovers mark your calendars. The authors of “Wine Food” will be signing their beautiful new book while Miller Union’s Steven Satterfield prepares
a tasting paired with four wines. Meet Andrea Slonecker and Dana Frank at Perrine’s Wine Shop (1168 Howell Mill Rd.) on Friday, Nov. 9 from 6-9 p.m. 

Paella on the patio, anyone? Gypsy Kitchen , in the heart of The Shops Buckhead Atlanta, launched a new Sunday brunch. From 11:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. sip from the bloody
Mary bar while noshing on chef Gary Finzer’s chorizo Belgian waffles or blue crab croquettas.

Tasty Beast Supper Club by Wrecking Bar Chef de Cuisine Joel Penn and partner Amanda Newsom is back for part two of a two-part dinner series. “Fire,” where
everything will be cooked over an open flame takes place Nov. 11. Limited release brews from Creature Comforts will be paired with six courses. 

After eight years, Virginia Highland sustainable seafood restaurant Goin’ Coastal is closing after the Saturday, Nov. 3, service. Canton’s Goin’ Coastal remains open.

The Georgian Terrace Hotel welcomed longtime Atlanta chef Michael J. Kubik as new chef overseeing Livingston Restaurant + Bar and downstairs’ Edgar’s Proof & Provision. Kubik said in a release, “I’ve watched this city’s dining scene develop and grow by leaps and bounds over the last two decades. It’s an honor to be part of this property’s grand history while positioning us for the future with innovative Southern cuisine.”

Pop-up skills classes called TrendBoss have hit Atlanta. Their slogan is “Don’t fall on trends, master them.” The first class is pretty cool and a bargain. Master your Big Green Egg with a cooking class on Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with salmon, steak, and doughnuts for $40. 

Kudos to the team behind the fifth annual Harvest for a Cure. Not only was the Oct. 10 fundraising evening a tasty and fun bash helmed by Chef Chair Gerry Klaskala and Sommelier Chair Andres Loaiza (Aria), it raised $475,000 for Multiple Sclerosis research.

All-day breakfast is headed to south metro Atlanta’s residential and mixed-use development Pinewood Forest. Anne Quatrano’s Pancake Social and Coffee House
is slated to open late fall 2019.

Westside’s O-Ku (1085 Howell Mill Rd.) has a bartender battle going on every Thursday. During the month of November, guest mixologists shake and stir for a $500 prize and guests will be the judge of their cocktails. Sushi, cocktails, competition, fun, and as a bonus, proceeds benefit Giving Kitchen. Nov. 1 brings
Jonathan Joy and next Thurs., Nov. 8 brings Erik Anderson, national ambassador for Hendrick’s gin.

Stem Wine Bar is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a party. “We love our East Cobb neighbors and appreciate their support over the past five years. It has been a
true pleasure to become part of the community, and we are excited to keep the good times going,” says owner Doug Turbush in a release. 

Bartaco rolled out a new fall menu with comforting items like black bean and pork pozole. They also have a new Party Pack option ready to heat and serve 10-25
people for tailgating games this fall.
