East Cobb succession gets skeptical response

The AJC reports a skeptical response to David Birdwell’s initiative to create the City of East Cobb.
Birdwell’s use of language - “It’s all about preserving and enhancing what we’ve got in East Cobb.” - caused residents to ask about the real purpose of the initiative. A resident pointed to comments made by another advocate, Phil Kemp, who suggested it was a move to fend off Democratic incursions into the County.
