CDC investigating E. coli outbreak in South

The CDC is investigating a rash of E. coli outbreaks in the South and Mid West. According to the CDC, as of April 4, 2019, 72 people infected with the outbreak strain of E. coli O103 have been reported in five states: Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio. The CDC has not yet determined the cause. Eight victims have been hospitalized.
