NEWS BRIEF: Cheshire Bridge rebuild could take a year, DOT says
The damaged bridge on Cheshire Bridge Road may have to be demolished and rebuilt from scratch, a process that could take a year or more, Department of Transportation Commissioner Josh Rowan told a city council meeting Wednesday. The road was closed indefinitely on Aug. 4 after a fire under the bridge ignited a gas line. ajc.com
