NEWS BRIEF: Black educators and schools can apply for $1 million in grants

Applications are being accepted for $1 million in grants from the 1954 Project, a philanthropic enterprise that benefits educators working on new methods in the schooling of Black children. 1954 is the year the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in the Brown vs. Board of Education case against segregation in public schools.
