The big news out of Washington DC is the concern about species going extinct due to climate change. In Georgia, the absence of a chill in the air is causing scientists to worry about the longevity of Georgia’s favorite fruit – the Georgia Peach. Seems the peach needs a decent number of cold days to cause the fruit to bloom and our average temperature has heated up 5 degrees since the 1960s.
