Fulton County elections chief Richard Barron is stepping down from his role after operating under a cloud ever since the June 2020 presidential primaries. Barron survived an attempt to be fired at the time, despite being viewed by Republican state officials as “an incapable manager who should have been ousted months ago,” according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
