The PepsiCo Foundation has announced an expansion of its Community College Program which addresses the disparity in higher education among minority students. The fund provides professional mentoring and financial assistance plus emergency grants. Nine community colleges have just been added to the national program, including a $250,000 scholarship to Atlanta Metropolitan State College. “Amid a national access and affordability crisis in higher education exacerbated by the pandemic, community college enrollment and degree completion has drastically declined among Black and Hispanic students,” the foundation said in a statement. prnewswire.com
