A defense attorney for the men charged in the killing of Black jogger Ahmaud Arbery is being forced to apologize after making remarks critical of Rev. Al Sharpton, an attendee this week at the Glynn County courthouse. “We don’t want any more Black pastors coming in here,” Kevin Gough said in court, “sitting with the victim’s family trying to influence a jury in this case.” He added, “I believe that’s intimidating and it’s an attempt to pressure.” Gough plans to follow up with “a more specific motion … putting those concerns in the proper context.” cnn.com
