A man from Georgia accused of assaulting law enforcement officials during the attack on the U.S. Capitol has pleaded guilty. Kevin Douglas Creek, 47, of Alpharetta, is charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding security personnel during the course of the insurrection. Court documents show Creek struck an officer’s hand and then pushed and kicked another officer. He could be sentenced to eight years in prison, three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine, according to the Justice Department. So far, at least 675 people have been arrested nationwide in connection with the U.S. Capitol riot in January. justice.gov
